Bad question number 5. “Can I see a picture of you from before?” No, you can’t see a picture of me from before. I’m not going to help you humiliate me. You know, can I see a picture of you on the worst day of your life? Can I see a picture of you at your fattest, at your ugliest, at your most broken out, with your worst haircut, maybe. Can I see a picture of you at your most depressed, your loneliest, your most self hating? That’s the picture you’re looking at, if you look at a picture of me from before. So enjoy raking your eyes across all that sadness and misery.
My name is Aaron and I am a 21 year old trans man living in New Jersey. I’ve been on hormones for almost 8 months and I am now ready to begin my journey into surgery. I’m a full time student with a part time job which means I don’t have insurance. I pay for my doctor appointments and hormones on my own but as we all know, surgery is expensive. I’ve set up a gofundme fund and I’d appreciate that even if you can’t contribute monetarily, that you just pass this along and get the word out! Every little bit counts!

Alright guys, I need some advice from those of you 3+ months on testosterone. My acne is BAD and I’m thinking most of it is from shaving but idk. I take good care of my skin but it’s just getting worse. Do any of you guys have any good products that are fairly priced and that actually work? Someone recommended something from the body shop with tea tree oil but it’s 10 buck for a small bottle.
Any suggestions are good suggestions! Thanks.
So in light of my 3 months on testosterone I guess I’ll make some sort of update.
First things first: I ordered an STP a few days ago from TranzWear and while I was on their site I noticed a link for clearance. When I clicked on it, I saw that they offer a pretty good variety of “not so perfect” packers and STPs at a pretty good discount. So for you guys who don’t have much money to spend on those sorts of things, ya’ll should check it out.
Also, for you guys who have larger chests, I’d highly recommend (if you have the funds) the ManZip Max from Man Sculpture. I have about a 40 D and it gets me really flat. I spent around $65.00 (USD) on it but I promise it’s the best $65 I’ve spent in a while. And it’s comfy and NOT HOT! *If you’d like a comparison of my chest not binded compared to binded, let me know. I’ll be glad to help anyone who needs it because we all the models these companies use are either fit cis men or small Asian girls.
Changes on T include…..
Facial hair (obviously), chest hair, back hair and just an increase in body hair growth/thickness.
Vocal changes (my voice initially changed about two weeks after my first shot and is progressively getting deeper)
Adam’s apple enlargement
Body odor is…different? not bad just different.
For those of you who have psoriasis, mine got worse on my hands since starting hormones buuuut I’m sure that’s different for everyone. I got a steroid cream from my doctor.
Libido is ridiculous along with some noticeable growth “downstairs” which brought increased sensitivity
I’m pretty sure my breast tissue has decreased by a very small percent
So that’s that. Enjoy.
You’re two months on T and your voice has changed a bit and you sound like a gay man and you suddenly stop talking because your new coworker is really cute but now she thinks you’re a gay man. Yes. This is real life. D:
